A short life filled with living...

I'm not going to try to out write the New York Times...they told this story too well and with more respect then many would give it. It's a must read esp. if you are having one of those days when your own life seems to hard to bear... A life well lived.

Second Life Withdrawal Syndrome

So here I am with out a computer for over a month now and I have to tell you I AM LOSING MY MIND!
No second life since before Thanksgiving! Nerve racking to say the least. Oh sure...I went out and got the sl android app but it is indeed a pale and thin second life experience. For 350 lindens a month you can chat and tp about, but you can't see or interact with the environment. For 400 lindens you can pay some one...thank gawd for dim sum gardens or it would have been gone. I understand the iPhone version is free but I can't begrudge someone the right to make some L's by providing a service. I will say it has great radar...from 1000m's I can identify everyone on my sim...but since I can't see anyone it's not really any fun...oh and since I don't remember what I was last wearing- or not wearing- and if I even will res as more then a particle cloud, I dare not go anywhere.
So that is my state of existence...no computer...no sl...just my Android phone...and thank gawd and T-Mobile for that and the little interaction I do have. Ttyl

We hold these truths..well except one...

http://www.ushistory.org/declaration/document/compare.htm

I was here on the 4th, comparing the original rough draft of Jefferson's  with the text he presented to the assemblage of representatives from the 13 original colonies  to the final text approved by them when I was reminded of the one section that certain representatives demanded be removed before they would approve the document. Take a look yourself and notice that one indictment against the King of England that didn't make it in the final cut.
Reminds us that the fore fathers were simply human, with very human prejudices and fears and that we need to constantly reassess the rules of law they created to in the end achieve the goals of life liberty and the pursuit of happiness for all.
